I just love the Calphalon Unison line. I hope that Calphalon will soon make an 8" pan that can be sold individually. Then I will get rid of all my old pans and use only the Unison. Food cooks so evenly in them. I am especially happy that these pans-unlike most of their quality- are dishwasher safe.

The pan arrived with one side dented. It was poorly wrapped for shipping, but I guess I can't be sure the damage happened in shipping. It seems as though one good drop by the UPS people could have done it, but I don't know. They might just be shipping out-of-round pans from the warehouse. I called Amazon, and arranged to return it. I told them of the problem, and they promised it would be packed in bubble wrap. They shipped another one right away. It arrived yesterday, and was really annoyed to find out that the second one was also dented. It was packaged in the same way as the first pan.
Convenience is a large part of the reason I order from Amazon. This experience has turned out to be a huge pain in the neck. If you are interested in this pan, I recommend you buy it from a brick and mortar store.

The steel on this griddle pan is not as thick as the steel on my other higher grade nonstick Calphalon cookware. That explains the lower price. As a consequence, it does not heat as evenly as my other cookware. Plus I'm still trying to figure out what temperatures to cook certain items. Oh well, I got what I paid for. Will buy higher grade nonstick pan next time.

The pan is a beautiful piece of cookware. The item does not come box and Amazon does not wrap it properly for shipment. The pan was delivered with scratches and scuff marks (unremovable) on the bottom of the pan. I would be wary of ordering it!
